My research is in dynamical systems. More specifically, I'm interested in dynamics from a topological viewpoint, rigorous computation, topological data analysis, recurrence, the Conley index, dynamics on noncompact spaces, fixed point theory, set-valued maps, voting theory, and social choice. I received my Ph.D. in 2001 from Northwestern University (thesis advisor: John Franks, thesis title: Sofic shifts and the Conley index).
